In this episode, we cover the final stages of bringing Raspberry Pi 5 support to Slackware AArch64.

We’ve decided to standardise on booting the generic Raspberry Pi Slackware Installer image, with a new option in the installer to transition directly to the Raspberry Pi vendor kernel fork. This provides a practical bridge between mainline Linux and the vendor fork where hardware support or stability gaps still exist.

The goal is to keep Slackware aligned with upstream while offering a clear, optional path for users who need the additional functionality currently available in the vendor kernel.
