I thought installing this laundry room countertop would be easy enough… I was wrong. Between trying (and failing) to scribe the board, cutting a notch for the washer hookups, and realizing my brand new cabinet needed to be rebuilt — things definitely did NOT go as planned.

In this DIY laundry room makeover video, I attempt to install a custom plywood countertop over my washer and dryer. Follow along as I measure the space, cut plywood to size, attempt to scribe the countertop for a tight wall fit, cut a notch for plumbing hookups, and troubleshoot my installation problems. This beginner-friendly home improvement project shows the real mistakes and problem-solving that come with DIY renovations.
