The Jog for the Bog is an annual fundraising event for the Burns Bog Conservation Society. Normally the Jog takes place within the Delta Nature Reserve and Watershed Park although due to the fire ban, the parks had to be closed off to the public.

Nonetheless, the Jog for the Bog persevered and was relocated to Westview Park where it has taken place in the past. Ironically, the weather decided to rain the day of the event, thus prompting the Delta Nature Reserve to reopen the day after!

I guess you could say those joggers really were running to save Burns Bog as Bogs heavily rely on high water tables! The rain didn't dampen our spirits, and the Jog was another great success as usual!
