You’ll get up close to a hydroelectric dam and visit ice cliffs before treatlong yourself to a traditional stew cooked on the open fire while listening to native legends of old. Our guide and chef will make you feast like kings. The hike is for all skill levels and the historic town of Pont-Rouge is 20 minutes away from downtown Quebec.

Today we are in the heart of French Canada at the Jacques Cartier Valley in Ponte Rouge Quebec Canada, about 40 minutes outside of Quebec City and we are Snowshoeing with goats. Well as it turns out we ditched the Snowshoes because conditions at the canyon were more ice than they were snow. So our tour guide / goat wisperer outfitted us with cleats that fit on the bottom of our boots. And we are given hiking poles with spikes on the end to keep up from slipping. Francois introduces us to our three trecking companions.... out pack goats. These goats truly are our commpanions in every sence. They carry packs with our geer in it. These pack goats are strong, intelligent, and so fun to be with. Francois is a storyteller and a mountian man who knows the Jacques Cartier Valley so well. The hike is moderately hard with still being family friendly. Francois has us use Safety ropes, to navigate under bridges and up icy steep hills. With our goats by our side the entire time, with small breaks here and there to nibble on some branches. The wildlife is scenery is beautiful this time of year. Goat Adventure runs all year in all seasons. But winter in Canada is something special and beautiful. Every frozen step is worth it to get to our waterside picnic. We are served homemade maple whiskey to warm us from the inside out. And the pack goats are not forgotten about. They are given a beer to split to celebrate their hard work. Our knowledgable guide turns into our chef while we dethaw by the fire Francois heats up a harty stew over the fire. We finish our outdoor picnic with a cake with a warm maple cream sauce served ontop. We take a forrest trail back
