Are Flintlock Muskets Better Than Medieval Longbows? A Response to

Описание к видео Are Flintlock Muskets Better Than Medieval Longbows? A Response to

Ah, the old argument is back! Are muskets better than longbows? If the longbow was the AK-47 of the Medieval period, why did people stop using them? If early guns and cannon were so slow and inaccurate, why did they take over from archers and crossbowmen?

Let's take a little look at the archaeological and skeletal side of this argument. A part of it that both ‪@shadiversity‬ and ‪@BrandonF‬ certainly mention in their videos, but the side I think I want to concentrate on a little more because I like skeletons and the weird things that lifting heavy weights, shooting arrows, and fighting in medieval battles can do to them.

I hope you enjoy it!

And if you don't, please don't climb the walls of Chester with a longbow so you can legally shoot me after dark. It's definitely still murder...
