Inferno Teaching Stream - Mage Rebalance (OSRS)

After Mage Rebalance I thought clearing up some questions about gearing and the approach to Inferno. Occult has been nerfed, and it's not worth bringing more mage switches to make up for that, you still bring Virtus Top/Crystal Shield/15% damage Mage Staff and Occult. If you want a budget version, just bring bofa instead of Masori/T-bow, they are within 15% of each other.

I didn't show all the waves and exact solves but I did try to explain all the basics. If you want in-depth handholding, I suggest watching the other videos, but if you are familiar with Inferno, this should be plenty fine for you.

The best plugin to use here is Tzhaar HP Tracker, it gives you all the HPs of monsters above their heads, and the pillars.

I don't believe in using the Blood or Smoke scepters that other people recommend using on first capes. I think they are trolling. The dps you lose while using these is worse than the extremely small overheal that you get. Kill things faster = Less damage taken = Get cape.

I also don't believe in losing your pillar pre 56. It creates too much panic at North pillar and it doesn't solve the problem of Nibblers going wild. Give them 1 cast wave 50+ and solve the wave. Pillars are a resource to use so that you can have time to solve the wave (when they aren't on your North pillar), so cherish them.

Learn how to pray flick, bring proper gear and come into Inferno with an open mind to learn. Otherwise you are just cheating yourself out of accomplishment. Good luck!
