Mark Seibert made some fun and wonderful melodies for "Hero's Quest: So You Want to Be a Hero", later renamed as "Quest for Glory: So You Want to Be a Hero." His score ranges from the humorous to the adventurous and from mysterious to poetic.
The score was originally composed for the Roland MT-32 sound-module, so you can consider this version 'the way it was meant to sound' although it's still emulated on the Munt-software. After years of development, even the hardcore-listeners don't always hear the difference compared to the real hardware.

TECHNICAL NOTES
In 1992 Sierra made a VGA-remake and added some new melodies instead of silence, like themes for the Healer and Wizard. But these tracks were never part of the original EGA-version of the game, which is the reason I didn't include them here.
I used emulation-software called 'Munt' (v.1.9.0) for emulating the MT-32.
All tracks are recorded 'ingame' using Dosbox-X 0.89.19 (the reason why some sound-effects can still be heard in some tracks. Part of the atmosphere, shall we say...? ;-)
