A sad day in County Durham the West Stanley Pit Disaster in 1909. 168 people lost there lives. I have done this video so people dont forget what happened on that awful Day. Many of my relations worked down the mine a lot of them at Ravensworth Ann Colliery at Team Colliery the Angel of the North stands on the site of the Pit Baths. Heartbreak to think those poor men and boys left the house that day with a see you later. Not knowing that was a last goodbye. I hope that those left behind wifes and children, Mothers and Fathers had a good life after what devastated there lives
