DIY WINE CORK CRAFTS | Elegant Ideas for Unique Creations

I was looking at Pinterest today, trying to find some new ways to upcycle corks. I ran across over 30 unique ideas for DIY cork ideas from the fantastic creators at Pinterest.

There are some really exceptional designs, and I’d like to recreate one myself.

3 First, get a mirror, and mount it on a backing that is about two cords next to eachother plus about another inch.

After mounting your mirror, frame the mirror with some rope.

Then, place the corks on the backing as shown in the picture.

Last add the 2nd frame of rope around the entire mirror.

5 Grab some champaign bottle corks.

Put a clearcoat over them.

Screw small hangers onto each side of the cork, and use a little glue to hold them in place.

Now place a chain with beads on the top part of the cork.

And, add charms and any other embellishments to the bottom.

Hang anywhere you like.

7 Use a vice to hold a cork and a fine saw to cut your wine cork into slices.

Put a clearcoat over the slices.

Screw little eyelet hooks into the top and paint or decorate the slices as you like.

Hang them on a necklace or use them as a charm.

9 To make this bird house, use the image to arrange your corks accordingly.

Put some hooks to hang it by on the top and you are all set.

11 what a cute little mouse.

Start with a Champaign bottle cork, and wrap some yarn around what will be the neck to make a scarf.

Next, cut 2 slices off of a wine cork and glue them to the head as shown in the image.

Last, add the eyes and nose.

What a cute Christmas tree decoration you have.

13 What a great way to display the family photos or some art.

Cut wine bottle corks length wise in half and apply them to the wall in picture frame shapes.

15 Cut several corks in half and use them to create the image shown.

Mount your corks on cardboard or thin wood.

Finish with a thin natural rope around the entire image.

17 Use hot glue to attach your corks in a heart shape.

19 What a great way to display a plant.

Use a square container to hot glue corks to, as shown in the picture.

Then, place the plant of your choice in your new cork box.

21 These are super cute Christmas tree decorations.

To make them, place one cork in the middle with 6 corks placed around the middle cork.

Along with glue, use ribbon around the outside to secure the pieces, and to make your bow and hanger.

Glue a gold snowflake in the middle, and you are set.

21 You can do this with any letter.

Use corks to shape which ever letter you like.

23 Place magnets on several corks.

Then, glue on mini faux pieces of flowers and foliage to your corks.

Place on the fridge for some unique magnets.

25 Get a candle in a glass jar.

Place corks around the entire candle.

Last, use a natural twine to wrap around the outside to secure the corks to the candle.

27 To make this, you will need several corks, some eyelet loops and some rings.

Place 1/3 of your corks in blue dye and 1/3 in red dye.

Let them soak until you get the desired color, and rinse thoroughly.

Screw eyelet loops into each end of your corks.

Last use a keychain or binder ring to secure all of your corks together.
