Slide Guitar Lesson: Single string guitar licks in the style of Derek Trucks

Hi everyone, this is a lesson I put together on behalf of a request from the Slide Players Connection facebook group to help de-mistify single string slide licks as even these licks tend to stump even the most experienced players out there. Anyhow, I want to give you all at least somewhere to start, and this will be the first lesson in a 3-part series to give you the foundation and techniques to get started learning how to play single-string slide guitar licks.

This lick is played in Open -E tuning (EBEG#BE) and is in the Key of E. It primarily uses the intervals I, II, III major, IV,V, IV on different parts of the high E string.

As mentioned in the video, I put some tabs together, I am not experienced with the program at all and the notation is a bit screwy. If anyone can offer some tips or can improve these for me please let me know. The arrows in the first measure are supposed to be '\' marks, no clue why they showed up like that, or why some are red text and others black.
