B2A-14-1 | Siemens NX 2007 Tutorial Assemblies | Via attributes such additional information can be added to components and assemblies: Material, heat treatment, supplier, item number, storage location, etc.
Attributes can describe properties of the part itself, like the name or the material. But they can also describe properties which they have only in the context of an assembly, like the item number.
Attributes can be individual, or selected from predefined lists, called attribute templates. More about this in Course B2A-14-2
And they can be read in different places: In the Assembly Navigator, or in the parts list.
