An overview of the mission and vision of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) as a whole with a presentation of Tobacco Prevention and Control at HMC through showing the history of the center since its establishment until now. The video will include as well introduction about the center and the different areas we work in (clinical, awareness and research). The clinical part can include the following: patient pathway. The video concludes with testimonials from individuals who succeeded to quit smoking with the help of the clinic.
The Hamad Tobacco Control Center aims at expanding its services to become a unified entity that includes training for clinicians to ensure the best quality of care, health awareness and promotion as well as scientific evidence-based research.
Located in Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City, building 311, the center aims to treat approximately 1200 new patients each year, with each attending around six appointments. The center will see new innovative services added including, for the first time in Qatar, laser therapy to help people stop smoking.
