Описание к видео 1993 MTEG 4-WHEEL ATV & ULTRACROSS SEASON COMPILATION

Newest of the six vehicle classes featured in stadium off-road racing, ultracross is the MTEG version of motocross racing for 250cc motorcycles. The class was introduced at the Indianapolis Hoosier dome in March 1987. ultracross is unique not only because competing vehicles are the only two wheelers in the series but also because they run each course in the reverse direction from the four-wheelers, and are noted for their spectacular airtime as they fly off the jumps, sometimes taking two at a time. in 1993, ultracross races are being run not only in reverse direction but also over special portions of the race course designed to bring out the best performance by the writers and their bikes. competing makes include Kawasaki, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki and KTM. starting grid are inverted, with the fastest qualifiers riders placed to the rear. they can be easily identified by colorful ribbons attached to their helmets so spectators can watch their progress through the field. in 1992, Kawasaki Rider Mike Craig won the ultracross class title for the third time to become the only competitor ever to win three successive championships come regardless of class. Craig is not returning as a series regular for 93 leaving the championship thrown open to more than a dozen declared candidates, including Kyle Lewis, Larry Brooks, Lowell Thomson, and Lance smail.

4-WHEEL ATV
since ATVs all-terrain vehicles became part of the stadium off road racing series in 1983, they have competed in two separate classes, 3 wheel ATV from 1983 through 1986, 4-wheel ATV from 1986 through the present, and once as a combined class of both three and four wheelers. familiar factory names such as Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki are well represented among competing mix of these vehicles, which are ridden rather than driven, with riders using their arms and legs as primary absorption systems. body shifting is essential for cornering and a successful fast ride board these powerful machines. driven by 250cc motors, the ATV is deliberately driven into a corner at high speed, then pitched and slid through the turn like a Sprint car. Jimmy white, who now serves as chairman of the MTEG rough driving committee, was one of the early ATV stars, racking up an all-time win record of 12 that Mark is fast being approached by a contemporary Stars Charles Shepherd, Gary Denton, Mark Ehrhart, Greg Stuart, Donovan Holland and a host of other exciting Young riders.
