Holland Dozier, Holland, in trying to find a hit for The Supremes was Inspired by another girl group, The Crystals who had a hit in 1963, "Da Doo Ron Ron" . Run, Run, Run has a Phil Spector-type sound, but without the "Wall of Sound". Not a hit though, that would come with the next release "Where Did Our Love Go" THE RECORD: Released on Motown in 1964 as Motown 1054.
