Step by Step Instructions on how to remove the Cylinder Head
big thanks to Samay Sengamphan

Under the van...
Remove protection covers
Remove the exhaust manifold and then lift the engine up to remove both motor mounts.
Lower engine down and rest on oil filter. Turn crank pulley to "0" on timing cover (TDC)
Remove distributor.
Drain coolant from the block.
In the van... (LEFT SIDE) Remove EGR modulator.
Remove both intake manifold brackets, [Note:] only remove the top bolts, loosen the bottom bolts and leave it there.
(RIGHT SIDE) -Unplug EFI, other sensors then swing the harness out of the way.
Remove fuel injectors and fuel rail together.
Remove the coolant pipe and hang it up.
Remove the intake manifold and hang it up.
Remove value cover.
Double-check both cams are on TDC
Using a flashlight, check the crank pulley is on the grove closest to you (another way to check TDC) -Put a mark on the chain and on the intake sprocket to match.
Make sure and mark the single dimple on the intake cam gear matches with double dimple on the exhaust cam gear.
Put M6 bolt on the exhaust cam to lock down the tension on the split gear.
Take the intake chain sprocket out, then Zip-Tie the chain to the chain guide so it won't fall into the hole toward the crankshaft.
Remove both intake and exhaust cams.
Mark all the intake and exhaust pucks, pull them out, and put them aside.
Remove distributor housing.
Remove two bolts under the chain (M8).
Using a large breaker bar, loosen the head-bolts a little (quarter turn at a time) by X sequences (starting from middle)...top-bottom, top left-bottom right...etc...until all are loose and out.
Pry the edge of the head to break the seal, then slowly pull the head out from the block. [Note:] make sure the chain doesn't get caught on the chain tension which is still on the head or make sure you don't hit the lower chain guide rail on the block.. IT COULD BREAK the plastic.
Pull the head straight out and up and set it down.

Easiest is to put paint marks on the cam sprocket and on the chain matching the sprocket. As long as you put the sprocket back to the exact spot with the chain, you will never mess up.
After installation, you can manually turn the sprocket to a complete cycle, the timing marks should line up. The paint marks you put on would not line up, but as long as timing marks are line up, you should be fine.

*once full sprocket turn equals to twice crank pulley turn
Egr pipe also needs to be removed but only at the cylinder head.
Oil return pipe as well. #TARAGO #PREVIA #ESTIMA Thank you for being here and watching my content.
