5 Houstonians leave their low altitude swamp seeking adventure at 14,000 feet. We climbed Rainier via the Emmons-Winthrop route.

Day 1: White River to Camp Curtis, practicing snow skills along the way.
Day 2: Camp Curtis to Camp Schurman, rest, and practicing team and glacier skills.
Day 3: Summit day and descent back to the car.
