Installation of the FITCAMX 4K dashcam in the Volvo EX30 - Fully integrated incl. hardwire kit | EN

In this video I demonstrate the step-by-step installation of the new FITCAMX dashcam in the Volvo EX30.

The built-in set includes a 4K front camera, a 1080p rear camera, a CPL filter and a power cable / hardwire cable for the fuse box. The installation is deliberately carried out directly on the fuse box using the optionally available Fuse Box Kit in order to be able to use the parking mode function of the cameras even when the engine is turned off.

The 1080p rear camera has been positioned neatly at the rear of the vehicle so that there are no visible cables in the interior. Important: It is not recommended to mount the rear camera directly on the rear window to avoid affecting DAB signal quality.

In addition, a CPL filter has been fitted to the front camera to minimise reflections from the dashboard on the front window.

The advantage of the FITCAMX is its seamless integration into the rear-view mirror cover, which does not impair the view to the outside or the vehicle design - it looks almost like an OEM component.
