A Food Trip to North Karnataka by Monk.
In this video we are showcasing the Famous eateries to try at Twin Cities Hubli -Dharward.

We visited many eateries which have a history of so many years.

1. Vishal Idly Centre

Vishal Idly centre has 35 year history and sells only idly throughout the day. There are two type of idly - Normal Idly and Benne ( Butter ) Idly.
Butter Idly is special here and we tried it. To Be frank it melts in mouth and can be relished along with coconut chutney which has a slight pinch of spiciness.

2. Suvarn Mandir
One of the oldest hotel of Hubli and has an history of almost 80+ years. This place is known for their Poori Bhaji , Misal and recently made name for their Bread based dishes such as Bread Toast and Bread Butter.

3. L.E.A Canteen
Oldest Eatery of Dharwad. Established 70 years ago which serves amazing breakfast dishes. It is well known among localites for their Uppit Avalakki. However , it was over by the time we reached. So we tried their Thuppad ( Ghee ) Avalakki and Sira ( Kesari Bath ).

4. Babu Singh Dharwad Peda
One of the pioneer in making of Peda. Started in the year 1846 is no doubt a must try when at Dharwad. We tried to visit the factory and witnessed the making of the same.
Multiple locations available across Dharwad and North Karnataka.

5. Basaveshwara Khanavali Original
When it comes to Khanavali I have tried it in Bangalore. For the first time tried it in Hubli and it was a wonderful experience served along with Shenga Holige.

6. Girmit
Established in the year 1970 is one of the oldest food cart which serves girmit at Hubli. Perfectly made and served along with two chillies happens to be best for the evenings.

7. Sev Puri - Chats
One of the best chats at Hubli. This has the touch and nativity of Maharashtrian pallet.
However, it reminded me of Shimoga.
