Conservatives say budget will be one of 'broken promises' | Budget 2024

The shadow health secretary has accused the government of breaking its election promises in the upcoming budget.

Victoria Atkins said Labour was backtracking on pledges "not to raise national insurance, VAT and income tax".

Labour will give its first budget in almost 15 years on Wednesday.
