Kogi Boat Accident: 54 Bodies Recovered - 12 PM News, December 1, 2024

At least 54 bodies have been recovered following a devastating boat accident involving around 200 traders in Kogi State. The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), in collaboration with the Kogi State Emergency Management Agency and the Red Cross, continues recovery efforts. Governor Usman Ododo has called for stricter safety regulations and improved inter-agency collaboration to prevent future waterway accidents. He also extended condolences to the victims' families and pledged support for the injured.
