A major tragedy occurred in Goa on December 7 as a grand party at 'Birch by Romeo Lane' nightclub turned lethal. The catalyst was the fireworks, which blazed the roof, creating agitation with no fire safety, exits or alarms, resulting in 25 tragic losses of lives.

In an unexpected incident, the owners of club Gaurav Luthra & Saurabh Luthra (Delhi nightclub magnates) got out of dodge on an IndiGo flight to Thailand. This was followed by Delhi homes being raided by the Goa Police and issuing a lookout notice.

Reportedly, the club was running on an illegal basis with no fire NOC, license expired and a political shield. Consequently, CM Pramod Sawant suspended a few officials.

As the world commemorates Human Rights Day on December 10, a question arises: Can India extradite these fugitives from Thailand to ensure the rights of the common people?
