Steven Universe the movie has introduced a lot of new characters into the group one of them being the character of spin now. I want to highlight the way that the writers really interacted with this character and made her story really pop as opposed to some of the other characters that have been introduced into the show. That includes four more tragic backstory that was more shrouded in mystery but still ultimately connected to Steven. One of the common tropes of the show makes it everything to do with Steven. Making it his fault that she's being hurt.
