In this video viewer can learn about two widely used theorems in algebra, Remainder theorem and Factor theorem.

Remainder theorem is a way to know the remainder when a polynomial of degree greater than 1 is divided by a linear polynomial of the form ( x-a).

Factor theorem is a special case of remainder theorem. If the remainder comes out to be 0 then it establishes that ( x-a) is a factor of of the given polynomial. factor theorem , thus, is used to determine whether a given linear polynomial, (x-a), is a factor of given polynomial or not.

Remainder theorem and factor theorem are very useful tools as they get their job done and without actually performing the long division we can determine whether a linear polynomial is factor of the polynomial or not and if not then we can easily find out the remainder by using the remainder theorem..

Value of a polynomial at a given point is discussed to give the students basic knowledge about how to put the value of variable in the given polynomial.

Zeroes of polynomial are values of variable at which the value of given polynomial becomes 0. There can be multiple zeroes for a given polynomial.
The methods of finding the zeroes of polynomial is be discussed in the video quadratic equations.
