The SMARTER way to learn guitar chords

Описание к видео The SMARTER way to learn guitar chords

In this week's guitar lesson we're checking out the smarter way to learn guitar chords. Whilst chord shapes may look different on the guitar fretboard, they are often the exact same chord! Once you know this, it makes learning all kinds of chords that much faster.

This is the first part of how to learn chords faster on guitar, realizing that the intervals of the 'in front' chords (namely D, A and E major) are the same. The second thing is to learn the spelling of different chord types. You want to know the intervals and how different chords are formed.

The final piece of the jigsaw is then taking one 'master' chord shape and being able to plug in all the different chord forms. With seventh chords, there is a distinct order of flattening intervals to allow you to form each one from a major barre chord form.

For more on chord theory you should check out my ebook THE CHORD BOOK: VOLUME 1 or, for my in-depth guide to fretboard fluency GUITAR BLUEPRINT is the course for you! (links below).
