PDP 700 / 800 Hardware Swap : Drummer Review!

I decided to swap my Yamaha Hardware out for PDP hardware on my PDP Classic Concept Maple Bop Kit. I went with 700 series boom stands, 700 series snare stand, 800 series hi-hat and the older 800 series pedal. The Cymbal stands are going to work great. light weight, compact nicely, easily adjustable, hideaway boom arm. The snare basket is pretty basic and standard. It will work just fine. Sits low enough for me and I like the adjusting knob. The hihat is sturdy, rod isn't to long, nice feel to it. The pedal however was a complete disaster out of the box. The chain wasn't aligned at all. It clicked and made noise and I had to completely take it apart and put it back together. I did order a new one and we'll see how that is once it comes!
