Moments Before the Wind | Eurorack + Opsix + Hapax

Описание к видео Moments Before the Wind | Eurorack + Opsix + Hapax

Second studio version of a recent live performance for Piqued at Mission Synths in SF.

This is a piece inspired by a recent visit to Battery Townsley north of San Francisco. The field recording in the beginning is from a field of frogs chirping near the battery at dusk, the Pacific Ocean lulling in the background. The field recording at the end is of the San Lorenzo River. The Tasty Chips ECR-1 convolution reverb has an impulse response of Battery Townsley.

After developing a live set based around samples in the ER-301, I wanted to swing back the other way and develop some sets based solely [or mostly] on synthesis and sound generation.

The Squarp Hapax provides the sequencing brains (with help from Hermod), splitting duty between the Korg Opsix and the eurorack. Entire patch is running through Elektron Analog Heat.

Voices:
Korg Opsix [FM strings]
Mutable Instruments Elements [modelled flute]
Mutable Instruments Rings x2 [modelled string and modelled rhodes]
4ms Ensemble Oscillator through Mannequins Three Sisters [bass]
Qu-Bit Surface [modelled string]
Make Noise Morphagene through Rossum Morpheus [field recordings]
Instruo Arbhar [sampled distortion pad]

Effects:
4ms Tapographic Delay
Tasty Chips ECR-1 [IR of Battery Townsley]
Mutable Instruments Clouds [looping delay mode]
Mutable Instruments Beads
Intellijel Rainmaker
Bizarre Jezebel Mimosa
Oto Bim and Bam [on a send from Knob Farm Ferry]

Happy to answer to any further patch note questions in the comments.

Thank you for listening and watching. Next up - a tutorial for time stretching with Mutable Instruments Beads.
