We invited Brian Aubert from Silversun Pickups to Balboa Studios in Los Angeles to demo the new Gibson Hummingbird Studio.

The Hummingbird Studio builds on Gibson’s long history crafting great sounding and beautiful looking Hummingbird guitars. It features a full-depth body for enhanced tonal response and a satin finish, giving it “the look of a painting,” says Aubert. The Hummingbird Studio has an L.R. Baggs Element Bronze active under-saddle piezo pickup, making it the perfect guitar for live performances, as well as in the studio for those who like to blend a miked acoustic tone with the sound of an onboard pickup.

Aubert shares, “This is a beautiful guitar. It sounds wonderful, and it feels really steady.”
