Here is a video I spent WAY too much time on. This video shows bands that try to stick to the roots of soft melodic frantic hardcore with personal lyrics and emotional cresendos & climaxes. Sv3rige tried to make a video like this about 10 years ago but still somehow managed to include bands that twinkle... what a dork. Anyways this does a slightly better job by including bands that are more well-known in emo and bands that have a higher chance of actually being emo-core (he included like 2 random hardcore bands, probably 3 or more indie-emo bands, and 2 or more screamo bands). However, these bands DO have ties to Sunny Day and the like, so don't have a crap-attack trying to gatekeep punk's depressed alter-ego.
