These are words of wisdom from ancient Christianity. The text is 'On Living Simply" a collection of the teachings of John Chrysostom from the 4th century C.E. They are advice to and commentary on his society which consisted of very rich and very poor citizens. He urged the church and all religious people to live simply and generously. I hope his writings inspire us to do the same.
