Solved CE Board Exam Problem Involving Steel Purlins with Sag Rods at L/3

In this video, using two lines of sag rods, we will:
- Solve for the safe spacing of purlins due to dead load plus live load
- Find the safe spacing of purlins due to dead load plus live load plus wind load on the windward scale
- Compute the total flexural stress due to dead load plus live load plus wind load on the leeward side if the purlins are spaced with two sag rods at third points
