While pricing details haven't been announced, GMC estimates the AWD Elevation to start around $35,000 when it hits dealerships later this year. The 2026 AT4 and Denali models are expected to be priced around $40,000.

The 2025 GMC Terrain is back, and it's not afraid to show off its truck-inspired roots. This third-generation compact SUV ditches the controversial push-button shifter in favor of a more traditional column-mounted lever, making gear changes a breeze. But the shift goes beyond just the transmission; the Terrain's design and technology have undergone a complete overhaul.

The 2025 Terrain's lineup has been simplified, with the entry-level Elevation trim replacing the previous SLE and SLT models. The Elevation comes standard with a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, remote start, and a suite of Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, and steering assist.

All Terrain models are powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 175 horsepower. The all-wheel-drive Elevation, launching first, will be paired with a new eight-speed automatic transmission, while the front-wheel-drive version will feature a continuously variable automatic transmission. The Terrain's towing capacity is 1,500 pounds with AWD and 800 pounds with FWD.
