Описание к видео The Men of Bushido Who Fought Through the Era of Turmoil, Longing to Become Samurai…!

Shinsengumi… If you have ever heard of this name before, I’m pretty sure you’re a fan of Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X), Gintama, or Golden Kamuy. They are a historical group of men who fought through the time of turmoil of westernization, and are very famous and popular among the Japanese too.I would say it’s almost impossible to find a Japanese that doesn't know about them.

But who are they? Why are they so popular? And why are they called “the men who lived and died with Bushidō, the samurai code?”

So today, as a man living in Kyoto training in katanas, I will briefly explain about the history of Shinsengumi, and the three most important men of the squad. At the end of the video, I will talk about my opinions on why they are so popular among the Japanese, so I hope you can enjoy this video to the end.
