Live a fairly normal life
Boring and mundane
But I constantly think

What if the freedom that we live and die for
All comes crashing down on me

And so I go online and read societal commentary

And I just wanna scream my goddamn lungs out
Thinking all about what those in power do
So tell me how much longer should I be so angry
To the point where it pleases you

Now I
See injustice in this world
Caused by someone else
But who is to blame
For all this mess
Some say it's the one percent or communists
And some say that it's people just like me

That's when I get back online and post societal commentary

And I still wanna scream my goddamn lungs out
Thinking all about what those in power do
So tell me how much longer should I be so angry
To the point where it pleases you

In the thunderdome of words
Just a swing state away from the absurd
And all the dissonance I feel
My therapist says is not real
