The King cobra (Ophiophagus hannah) is the longest venomous snake in the world. It is a very peaceful species, which does not often come into contact with people in its range in southeastern Asia. However, on Bali island in Indonesia, King cobras don't have a lot of space. There are many people and suitable habitats are disappearing. In this case, a female King cobra built its nest on someone's property. The owner wanted to kill it, but the local team of snake rescuers arrived to relocate the snake and the eggs. We joined Bali Reptile Rescue and gave this beautiful King cobra a new chance to live in peace!
