I gave the video the title I did as the piece of spalted beech I used for the lid of this salt pig was the first wood blank I ever purchased, I bought it before I had a lathe! I was and still am so into wood that I wanted to buy it just to look at. I always planned to buy a lathe, it just happened 3 years after I bought the blank. My parents kept telling me to stop buying wood that I couldn't use ..... how wrong they were. Only joking, I definitely have a problem with buying wood I can't use .... still 😂😁
