Watch this video to find our the 5 (five) steps I follow in pretty much any sketch I do. There are no such things as strict rules in art, but having a guide for your process can be really effective, especially when approaching something new, or to fall back on when experimenting and having fun! Having processes to following in your sketching, watercolours and drawing is ideal for beginners especially.

Urban sketching, in particular, is about experimenting and having fun. I have found, through the years, that having rules to break is better than having no rules at all.
