The Government of Gujarat has launched a special Interest Subsidy Scheme to promote new MSMEs in the service sector—including the Motion Pictures, Video and Television Production, Sound Recording, and Music Publishing Activities. This is a golden opportunity for creative entrepreneurs, production houses, and artists looking to establish themselves in Gujarat's thriving ecosystem.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
1. Type of Business:
o Only new MSME units engaged in eligible service activities (as per Annexure A & B) are allowed.
o The activities must include:
 Film/TV Production
 Post-Production Studios
 Audio Recording Studios
 Music Labels and Music Publishing Firms
2. What is Eligible for Subsidy:
o Interest on term loans for purchase of:
 New machinery
 Equipment
 Furniture/Fixtures
(Land and Building cost is NOT covered.)
3. Mandatory Registrations:
o MSME (Udyam) Registration
o GST Registration
o Shop and Establishment License (if located in Municipal Corporation area)
4. Other Conditions:
o Service Tax Registration (if applicable)
o At least 10 permanent employees
o Minimum 85% local employment, including 60% local staff in supervisory/managerial roles

📍 Interest Subsidy Rates (Based on Taluka Category)
📍 Category 1 Talukas:
• 7% Interest Subsidy
• Maximum: ₹35 lakhs per annum
• Duration: 7 years
📍 Category 2 Talukas:
• 6% Interest Subsidy
• Maximum: ₹30 lakhs per annum
• Duration: 6 years
📍 Category 3 Talukas & Municipal Corporation Areas:
• 5% Interest Subsidy
• Maximum: ₹25 lakhs per annum
• Duration: 5 years

🎁 Additional Subsidy (Extra 1%)
Eligible enterprises can get an additional 1% interest subsidy if they qualify as:
• Registered Startup (recognized by DPIIT or Government of Gujarat)
• Women Entrepreneurs (100% equity from women)
• Differently Abled Entrepreneurs (100% equity)
• Young Entrepreneurs below 35 years (with valid age proof and 100% equity)
🔸 Maximum total subsidy from both State and Central Government cannot exceed total interest paid.

⏳ Application & Disbursement Conditions
1. Start of Subsidy Period:
o You can opt for subsidy from:
 Date of first term loan disbursement OR
 Date of start of commercial service (choose only one)
2. Application Deadline:
o Apply online within one year of:
 First loan disbursement OR
 Start of services (whichever is later)
3. Late Application:
o Allowed with deduction in subsidy duration equivalent to the late period.
4. Disbursement of Subsidy:
o Starts only after commercial operations begin.
5. Loan Criteria:
o Only term loans from Banks or Financial Institutions as per RBI guidelines are valid.
o Loans from NBFCs are not eligible.
6. Defaulter Clause:
o If you default (miss loan interest/EMIs for more than 90 days), the default period will be deducted from the subsidy period.
7. Minimum Entrepreneur Contribution:
o Enterprise must bear a minimum 2% of the interest on the term loan.

• Penalty or overdue charges
• Loans sanctioned after 1 year from service commencement
• Ineligible if the business defaults consistently
• No benefit on working capital loans
