How do you spot a fake money?

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas advises the consumers to use the "feel-look-tilt" method in identifying counterfeit moneys in light of the Christmas rush.

Touch the money if the prints such as the label and signature are embossed, according to the BSP, and look for the watermark of the denomination if it’s identical to the faces featured on the bill. The BSP also advices to tilt the banknote to see if the denomination on its side changes to a different color.

The BSP says that counterfeit money should be surrendered to the nearest police station or banks.
