The latest Android 13 update has bought in quite a few changes, one among which is the improvements to the security of the OS.
One direct consequence of this is the fact that now Google will no longer allow third-party apps to get direct access to system-level sensitive APIs without your permission.
So beginning with Android 13, the Allow Notification Access toggle for such apps will be greyed out. If you still try and enable that toggle, you will be greeted with the Restricted Settings prompt.
So how could these apps then access the system-level APIs? Well, Google has baked in a new feature in Android 13 that will allow you to Allow Restricted Settings for such apps. And in this video, we will show you how to make full use of this feature. Follow along.
