The 4 day old baby Hippo looks more energetic tonight. It's keeping up with Mom and not needing periodic rests. There are a lot of firsts in this baby's life. Tonight Mom will take it across the river to forge. Even with the rain the river is fairly shallow but this little one does a lot of bobbing up and down while keeping close to Mom. What a cool moment when they safely reach the opposite shore! Well done Mom and baby!
