Two of the biggest college football powerhouses of the 1970s met on January 1, 1974 in the Cotton Bowl. The score was tied at 3-3 when Nebraska reached the Texas one-yard line in the final minute of the first half. But Darrell Royal's Longhorns denied Tom Osborne's Cornhuskers on four straight plays (three are shown) to preserve the tie at halftime.
