Dynamic ball control drills are a bridge between the static ball control drills (Coerver) and cones dribbling drills.
Incorporate these exercises in your soccer (football) training to sharpen your first touch skills and ball coordination.

You need a little more space for these ball coordination drills as you are moving forward and back.

Soccer coaches should incorporate these drills in their soccer training or warm-up time before a soccer game.

Tutorial:

When starting with the right foot:
(Switch left and right below when starting with the left foot)

1. Stand behind the ball.
2. Roll the ball out with the right foot.
3. Perform a stepover with the left foot.
4. Push the ball through with the inside of the right foot behind the left foot.
5. As soon as the ball passes the left foot, roll the ball out with the left foot.
6. Perform a stepover with the right foot.
7. Push the ball through with the inside of the left foot behind the right foot.
8. Continue step 2-7.

Things to watch out for:

a. Try to perform the drill as smooth as possible.
b. Start slow and increase the speed when the move can be done flawlessly.
c. Make sure the ball sticks to the feet between the roll out and push through.
