This webinar was presented on 6th of July 2021 by Dr. Giovanni Mosiello, director of neuro-urology division and Pediatric Urologist at the Paediatric hospital Bambino Gesù Rome. It was aimed at both healthcare professionals and patient groups.

Neurogenic bladder and bowel dysfunction (NBBD) in children are commonly related to spina bifida patients. However, many other causes of NBBD are common to observe in daily clinical practice. Patients with NBBD require a multidisciplinary approach and highly specialised treatment, which is not always properly defined in current guidelines. Besides, these guidelines are not discussed with families and patients, and some difficulties exist regarding implementation. Eventually, transitional care is a critical point , and there is the need to ameliorate this process.

This webinar would like to offer a snapshot on where we are on NBBD guidelines and recommendations and offer some discussion points.
