You won't believe this wild story! 43 Rhesus macaque monkeys have escaped from a research facility in South Carolina, and authorities are in full pursuit to try and recapture the mischievous primates.

The escaped monkeys are a group of young females that have never been used for testing at the Alpha Genesis research facility. While the company has confirmed the monkeys don't carry any diseases, residents are being urged to keep their doors and windows secure in case the animals try to seek shelter.

Police have set up traps and are using thermal imaging cameras in an effort to locate and safely return the escaped primates. But this isn't the first time Alpha Genesis has dealt with a monkey escape in the area - similar incidents have occurred before, including in 2016 when 19 monkeys got loose.
