I got this set on clearance, and whenever I see classic sets on clearance I never pass them up because the price to part ratio is generally amazing and I use them for MOC fodder. This, I opened this set up expecting to use it for some up coming MOCs. Grading a classic set is always difficult compared to other sets, the intended audience is not adults but the intention of the set is to build; which is my intention. This is clearly themed in pastels, so I knew my color choices were going to be suspect when I picked it up. However, despite acknowledging all of this before I cracked it up, I still found this set to be disappointing. There is only one element that is unique to this set, a printed brick, if it were not printed it would not be unique. The prints I find to be especially lame; there’s far too many eye pieces, and the printed bricks are worse. The builds, even for classic sets, are low level builds. I will say as positives, there was far more white and nougats colors than I expected, even a little bit of black and brown. The elements themselves are predominately bricks plates and slopes, not a ton of clip or bar pieces that I find to be too overly specialized. I was actually hoping for some more arches, which there are none of in this set. Ultimately, even with lowered expectations this set failed to live up to what I wanted. This is not a set I’d buy again, even on clearance. But alas it is not a total and complete failure, so I will give it a D.
