VOLCANO (Stray Kids Han) Cover (English Ver) | by Angela Yang

Hey guys!
So the cold I had lasted wayyy longer than expected and is still lingering around, but I'll have to power through it! Lol This week's vocal cover is of Stray Kids' Han's "VOLCANO." It became one of my favs after I saw Han and Seungmin perform it on 2Kids Show ❤️

While I was translating the lyrics, (being the Inuyasha trash I am lol) I noticed that the relationship between the narrator of the song and the person he is talking to is kind of like the relationship between Inuyasha and Kikyo. Although Kikyo was known as just a soul-less, demon-ish being to other people, to Inuyasha, she was way more than just that. To Inuyasha, she was still the woman he loved and the woman he was willing to die for and die with. This is where I got the idea for the lines "So my soul will melt into yours" and "Bring me along with you into the depths of the earth."

As most STAYs would say, this song portrays a sort of toxic relationship between the two characters. But in a way, it also shows the difference between knowing just the surface of a person, compared to truly understanding and accepting someone who may not be up to societal standards, but genuinely a good person on the inside once you get to know them.

It's a complicated song lol But maybe that's what I love about it! So I hope you guys enjoy this short cover and have an amazing weekend!
