Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Seeks Report On Bomb Blast At Punjab Police Intel HQ In Mohali

Mohali Blast News: A minor explosion occurred on the third floor of Punjab Police's intelligence office in Mohali on Monday night, shattering windows and damaging property.

It was initially reported that a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) was thrown at the building using a rocket launcher. However, sources in the police have said the blast was not a terror attack and was caused by explosives kept in the office.

The police cordoned off the area around the office and the Senior Superintendent of Police reached the spot immediately.

In an official statement, the Mohali Police said, "A minor explosion was reported at the Punjab Police Intelligence Headquarters in Sector 77, SAS Nagar at around 7.45 pm. No damage has been reported. Senior officers are on the spot and investigation is being done. Forensic teams have been called."

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has sought a detailed report from the police on the incident.
