The rules are straightforward yet brutal:
Each wrestler has three rope breaks to stop submission holds and pinfalls. Once these are exhausted, submissions and pins on or under the ropes by the opponent are entirely legal.

Closed-fist punches to the face are not allowed - only open-handed slaps or chops. Punches to the rest of the body, excluding low blows, are fair game. The first use of a closed fist will warrant a warning, while the second one leads to an immediate disqualification.
