NATO Governments on Industrial Cooperation and Challenges | NATO Summit Defense Industry Forum

In this discussion at the NATO Summit Defense Industry Forum, a group of selected European defense ministers emphasized that NATO must continue its operations in Ukraine to abide by its mission: to uphold a free, democratic, and secure world. Strengthening NATO’s efforts requires enhanced cooperation from its allies and the private defense industry. The defense ministers noted that public-private partnership can help increase stockpiles, predict procurement, and harmonize interoperability of equipment—all of which can improve NATO’s production capacity and counter Russia’s efforts in close partner nation Ukraine.

Executive Editor of POLITICO Luzia Savage moderated the panel featuring Defence Minister of Estonia Hanno Pevkur, Deputy Chief of Cabinet for Italy’s Ministry of Defence General Barduani Enrico, Director General of the Czech Republic’s Ministry of Defence Radka Konderlova, and CEO of Defence Equipment & Support and National Armaments Director of the United Kingdon Andy Start.
