OpenAI Suspends Scarlett Johansson-like Voice After Actor Alleges Stealing | Firstpost America

Artificial intelligence research organisation OpenAI has suspended an AI voice named Sky after Hollywood actor Scarlett Johansson claimed the voice "eerily sounded" like hers. The "Black Widow" actor said she was "shocked, angered and in disbelief" after listening to the voice. OpenAI last week launched a conversational upgrade of its AI chatbot, ChatGPT, which faced massive backlash for being overly familiar. Social media users also drew comparisons to the 2013 film "Her" that depicted an AI voice assistant which was voiced by Johansson. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says Sky's voice was not derived from Johansson's and it belongs to a different professional actor.
